Two resident assistants informed police that while performing scheduled room inspections marijuana had been found laying on the desk of a resident.

The student was not at his residence at the time of the discovery so police left the defendant a message that the marijuana, one glass pipe with marijuana in it and one cup with marijuana seeds had been found in his room.

Police advised the student to come to the UTC Police Department. He was cited in lieu of arrest at the time to Hamilton County Jail for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
