Police spoke with a security officer who said he detected a strong smell of marijuana coming from an apartment.

Police were unable to detect the odor but knocked on the apartment door to ask occupants to be quiet due to the fact their television could be heard four apartments down the hall.

After knocking some of the occupants attempted to leave the apartment through the outside balcony door. Upon entering the apartment police smelled suspect burning marijuana.

Police gained verbal consent to search all the rooms and began in room B. Police seized two glass pipes and a silver metal grinder.In room A police seized a small green water bong and a small clear glass pipe.In room C police seized a wooden grinder.

The fourth individual advised that he was neither smoking nor an owner of any of the seized items. He told police he was about to smoke marijuana for the first time when police entered the apartment.

Police also seized a marijuana vaporizer and another glass pipe which none of the individuals claimed. All four individuals were cited to student affairs in lieu of physical arrest.
