Officers responded to a miscellaneous call at 400 Palmetto St. A student came to the police department to file a complaint. She told police the night before her friend sent her an e-mail informing her she could download Dungeons and Dragons for free.

When she tried to download the game, she received a pop-up which said her computer had been infected with worms. She then received information saying her computer could be cleaned if she gave them her credit card number that would be charged for $50.

She gave them her credit card information and approved the charge. She contacted her mother and her mother canceled the Visa card.
